Officers reported they were contacted by a individual who found a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty cars have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.

Officers say they were notified late on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored liquid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found numerous other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement state preliminary tests suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; authorities are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in association with the occurrence," they added.

Municipal representatives said they were trying "to resolve the case" and have requested to the community for details.

A high-ranking political figure said the attack left him speechless and needed to be addressed promptly.

"This event strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, referring to the killing of nine victims by a shooter aiming at residents of immigrant origin in 2020.
