The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
